The Heavenly Father created the Sabbath for mankind to be a day of delight full of peace and refreshment. It is a sacred time at the end of each week where His children are at liberty from the workday routine to slow down and rest. This time allows followers of Yeshua (Jesus) to concentrate on family unity, prayer, worship, Bible study, and fellowship with the Body of Messiah. It is an appointment with the King, a date with Adonai, and a rehearsal for the Messianic Age. Shabbat is a day that believers long for in anticipation of His Kingdom to Come, Yom Shekulo Shabbat – A time when all is Sabbath.

I very much enjoyed this book. I have been attending a bible study for 20+ years but have been discovering my Hebrew Roots of my faith for about 4 years. Going the bible study has been very challenging to say the least.....so hard to share the revelation and exileration I feel inside about following Torah and His Feast. This book was a great blessing. Very simple and easy to convey to my bible study. I did get some frowns and even one who said she’s praying for me but that’s ok because I am truly thankful of the truth that the spirit poured into my heart. Thank you Ladies for writing the B.E.K.Y. Books! You have strengthened encouraged and empowered one believer in Yeshua and to NOT feel like she’s on an island alone.Blessings

The Sabbath His Day of Delight BEKY Books Volume 9 Jane Diffenderfer 9780997820126 Books Reviews
An excellent summary and an important reminder of a topic the Church chose to forget long ago. It's a quick and easy read, with lots of detail for people unfamiliar with keeping the Sabbath.
If your friends, family, or co-workers wonder why you keep the Shabbat, this is just what the BEKY series is, an ENCOURAGING rather than condescending explanation of the beauty of Shabbat. It is a most positive presentation of Scriptures about the Sabbath, and I would have many copies on hand to give away. I'm going to order some for our fellowship to give to visitors.
Having been raised in an Assembly of God Church all my life, I was taught that the precious Sabbath day was changed to Sunday. Most of us who came out of this false doctrine were left with an empty feeling every Sunday morning and a perplexity of "what do we do now?" "Where do we go from here?" This book is an easy read that answers those questions and more. The author covers all the bases for when the Sabbath was changed by men "Catholic & Protestant confessions) and how to go about keeping it, but my favorite portions were about its delight. The author encourages the reader to spread the fine linen table cloth out over the table, light the candles, and invite the Ruach HaKodesh into our homes and to wear our Covenant ring, a symbol of our oath to keep His Sabbath rest with Him. The author beautifully describes this by saying, "As she glances at the sign on her hand, she is passionately aware that she is waiting for her covenant Bridegroom and King to carry her away." This is a great little read to hand out to family and friends who have questions about keeping the Sabbath holy and set apart.
